Nitro Warriors: A Stop Motion Animated Film
Uses lots of different shot types to make the animation even better. It does this by making changing the different places its being filmed at, and this makes it look like a really good police chase.

Questions:
1. What is the story about?
It was but a police chase, and the car was causing all sorts of chaos on the road, then, in       the end the car got wings and flew away.
2. How was the piece created?
They used lots of toy cars, and kept changing the camera angles, to make it look better.
3. How have they used a variety of camera shots, angles and composition to make it interesting?
They attached the camera to different things, to make it look like you were looking at the car chase from another persons perspectives. Also, they changed the cameras angle when there where loads of police cars, to make it look better.

4. Do you think the animation is successful, how and why?
I think that the animations was successful, because it worked really smoothly, and it wasn't just jumping from thing to thing, it did it smoothly, to make it look better. Also, it look good, but a few times you could see wires and things that they used to keep the cars and trains in position, but that wasn't very noticeable. Also, i think it was successful, because you could tell what the story was, and you could tell what was going on.
5. How would you improve the animation?
To improve this, they could make it so you can't see some of the wires.
6. How will you use this information in your own planning?

I will use this, by making sure i make it look as realistic as possible, and i will try to make the story interesting.

Composition

The basic principle behind the rule of thirds is to imagine breaking an image down into thirds (both horizontally and vertically) so that you have 9 parts.

The theory is that if you place points of interest in the intersections or along the lines that your photo becomes more balanced and will enable a viewer of the image to interact with it more naturally.
Studies have shown that when viewing images that people’s eyes usually go to one of the intersection points most naturally rather than the center of the shot – using the rule of thirds works with this natural way of viewing an image rather than working against it.

I think that i have used the rule of thirds quite well:

Stop Motion Animation

Learning Objectives:
To identify and breakdown the components of animation and incorporate this into your own stop-motion piece.

I really like Stop motion animation, because i like how you have to take so many photos, and you can do so many cool things with that.I really liked the 'against the grain' one, because i like the way the artist has used the pencils, and has moved them, to make look cool.

P and D Final

Evaluation:
Preparatory Work:
The theme was portrait distortion, and i had to experiment with all the different ways to do this. We researched a few artists, and i got a few ideas from their work.
We look at Erin Case, and looked at the way she put landscapes into the face. i liked her work, but when i did it, it didn't look that good. This helped me become more confident cutting things out on photoshop.
Through this project, i have become more confident using photoshop, and I'm more confident cutting things out.
I think that i have done well with the fragmentation pieces, because I liked the way you had to build up all the different layers. And i think that it looks good like that in my final piece.
I think that i could improve on my blending, because i think it looks ok, but it could be better.
I want to do a few more erin case portraits, because when i did one, i didn't do one well. And i would have liked to become more confident doing these. Also, i would have liked to do another hidden thoughts portrait, because i really enjoyed that, and i would like to play around with that more.

Final Piece:
I have used lots of colour blended into the face of each individual piece, then put them all together.
I am very happy with my final piece, because it has quite a lot of colour in it, but not too much, and i like the way i have blended all of the faces together, because you have to look really carefully to see some of the faces.
If i could change anything, i would have moved some of the pictures around a little more, because on the left, they are all really close together, and on the right, they are just around the edges. Also, i would have taken photos of someone in normal clothes, not school uniform.

Fragmentation 2

For this, i took a photo, and cut out different sections and moved them around. And on some of them, i changed the colours, and played around with the blend modes.

Fragmentation

I like this one, because it is strange, and from a distance, it looks like a normal face, but when you look closely at it, it looks odd, and different.

I like this one, because it is all different, and muddled up. I also like it, because the whole of the photo is muddled up.

I enjoyed doing this one, because i like the way that it look like the fragments are blowing away. I don't like the way they are shaped, so if i did it again, i would maybe spread it out a bit more.
